I know the reason. That last link also uses sdb1 for DRBD instead of sdb.
After I ran your commands, the result was the same. Don’t do that, you don’t know what drbe doing: DRBD is obviously a great tool, and is easy to use once you understand the basics, but you’re dealing with storage so there is a lot of room to mess things up in a permanent way.
